What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting our engineering team with the maintenance of plant equipment and undertaking preventative tasks.
  • Gaining Critical knowledge in Electronic Fault FindingFeatures and Applications of Electrical Machines, and Principles and Operations of Three Phase Systems to name but a few.
  • Learning to input data into our maintenance systems and assist with production data analysis—strong computer skills are a must!
  • Working within our Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Join us at Ibstock PLC as a Multi-Skill Apprentice Engineer and take your first step towards becoming a fully qualified engineer. This 4-year programme will equip you with a Level 3 Engineering Technician – Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship, while offering you hands-on experience, mentorship from industry experts, and a competitive salary.

What We Offer:

  • Starting salary: £20,888 per annum, with yearly pay increases upon successful completion of each year.
  • A nationally recognised qualification and the skills needed to become a qualified multi-skilled engineer.
  • Full-time training at MAKE UK Training School in your first year you will be residential and live in Birmingham in 4 week blocks (we cover all travel and accommodation costs when staying over at Make UK).

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting our engineering team with the maintenance of plant equipment and preventative tasks.
  • Studying a range of subjects, including Electronic Fault FindingElectrical Machines, and Three Phase Systems, to build your expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Developing key computer skills, as you’ll input data into our maintenance system and help analyse production data.
  • Building a foundation of knowledge in Mechanical Engineering with extra NVQ modules.

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for practical, hands-on individuals with the drive and passion to gain real-world experience with a market-leading company. If you have:

  • 5 GCSEs at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
  • A genuine interest in engineering and a desire to learn
  • A full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
