Careers Hubs are the mechanism to improve careers education for young people by working directly with CEO’s, Heads, and other senior leaders (SLT) in schools, colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers to make changes to the system. We support schools to develop careers education strategies that embed the Gatsby Benchmarks and increase business and parent engagement whist creating opportunities for teachers to improve the quality of education through the lens of Careers.
The Careers and Enterprise framework supports schools to recruit Enterprise Advisers. Working with a local school or college, an Enterprise Adviser can help support pathways into industry and shape young people’s futures, they can help to bridge the gap between the world of work and education, working with the Careers Leader and wider senior leaders of the school or college to create opportunities for young people. Enterprise Advisers are essential business ambassadors to support schools to achieve their vision for careers development for their young people.

The Hub have shared good practice across their members resulting in a stronger focus on good quality provision. The annual event enabled the hub to share their vision of School Improvement Through The Lens of Careers and looking beyond the Benchmarks. It was a fantastic opportunity to share different models of school improvement and strategies to further develop careers provision to enhance the future opportunities of our young people.
