DfE Funded Climate Ambassador Programme for Schools and Colleges

Climate Ambassadors – Teachers and Schools

Bringing Climate Ambassadors, volunteers from a broad range of jobs and backgrounds, into your classroom is a perfect way to demonstrate the connection between the subjects young people study and their future life and career in a changing climate.

Climate Ambassadors:

  • Bring the curriculum to life, helping young people to see the real-life application of what they are learning in school
  • Bring in outside climate expertise
  • Motivate young people to work scientifically, think creatively, reason, find problems for themselves and try out ideas to solve them
  • Serve as an inspiring role model
  • Help build young people’s knowledge and understanding of our changing climate

What Schools Say About Us

Being part of the Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Careers Hub has been pivotal to the development of careers provision in our school. The Hub have shared good practice across their members resulting in a stronger focus on good quality provision. The annual event enabled the hub to share their vision of School Improvement Through The Lens of Careers and looking beyond the Benchmarks. It was a fantastic opportunity to share different models of school improvement and strategies to further develop careers provision to enhance the future opportunities of our young people.
