Climate and Nature Action in Education | Climate Ambassadors

Our education system and the nurseries, schools and colleges within it play a critical role in driving action to address climate change and nature decline. As part of the Department for Education sustainability and climate change strategy, all education settings are expected to have a climate action plan and a sustainability lead in place by the end of 2025. During the new academic year a number of organisations will be working together to offer a wide range of free support to nursery, school and college leaders to enable them to act on climate and nature.

Be one of the first education leaders to benefit from this support and start the development of your climate and nature action plan by joining  our free regional event as part of Climate and Nature Action in Education in September.

Events are co-sponsored by the Association of School and College Leaders, the UK Schools Sustainability Network and the Early Years Alliance. During each event, you will have the opportunity to start to build your climate and nature action plan and to work with other education and sustainability leaders on developing partnerships across your region.

Each event is completely free, but places are limited and we can only accommodate two places per education setting.

What Schools Say About Us

Being part of the Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Careers Hub has been pivotal to the development of careers provision in our school. The Hub have shared good practice across their members resulting in a stronger focus on good quality provision. The annual event enabled the hub to share their vision of School Improvement Through The Lens of Careers and looking beyond the Benchmarks. It was a fantastic opportunity to share different models of school improvement and strategies to further develop careers provision to enhance the future opportunities of our young people.

What Businesses Say About Us

It it superb to be able to speak with local schools, colleges, and businesses in Stoke and Staffs and show how important the partnerships are to bring the skills of the future. Educating those who educate the ones shaping the aspirations of young people is essential for the industry to grow and be more sustainable.”
