Aged 14-17 Join us the Air League course to discover aviation

The Programme’s Aim

The Air League’s ‘Soaring to Success’ Programme is an industry-leading youth outreach programme which
inspires, stimulates, and encourages young individuals to consider a career within aviation and aerospace.
It acts as a catalyst to spark the inspiration and realisation that opportunities and possibilities accessible to
students aged between the ages of 14 to 17. The programme consists of three stages described below.

Stage 1: Introduction to Aviation and Aerospace Career Conference

This is a unique opportunity for students to engage with speakers from seven leading organisations (the UK
and worldwide) and gain an insight into distinct career opportunities across the broad scope of the aviation
and aerospace industries. Designed for a virtual audience with accompanying support material, and
selected post-16, post-18, and graduate pathways.

Stage 2: E-Learning Modules

Access to a series of e-learning enrichment courses built with partner companies to provide deeper
industry knowledge and context, new industry-related learning, and further career profiles/apprenticeship
information and signposting.

Stage 3: Air Experience Day

A day at a local BGA gliding club including an aerotow glider flight and opportunity for each participant to
take a turn at the controls alongside other workshop activities and further careers signposting. This 3-
